RE: APPLICATION FOR DATA SCIENTIST POSITION I hereby submit my application for a data scientist position at your organization. My background is in Statistics, market research, innovation, big data analytics, impact evaluation and policy briefs development. I am on a quest to gain valuable experience as a researcher and even grow my career as a future data scientist and researcher as I prepare to pursue my post-graduate studies. I recently completed my studies in data science at Moringa School where I got an in-depth skill development in data science project cycle, data collection, cleaning to the preparation of data for analysis, data reporting, creating and designing comprehensive data warehouse systems and data visualization methods both in Python programming language and R. Project management skills. Currently, I am on contract at Trademark East Africa as a researcher, analyst, and impact evaluator of development projects plus policy developer. As a researcher, I assist with drafting and editing project reports, collect data, perform data analysis for the different collected surveys, mined, and collated data. In evaluation of projects impact, I assess how projects conducted by TMEA have been of impact and help draft their sustainability strategies. I’ve worked as a researcher as well at a research consortium where I conducted extensive research and prepared reports commensurate to national standards for presentation to clients.
